White Plains High Students Win National Awards

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has honored seven White Plains High School students for their academic success.

The National Achievement Scholarship Program, which recognizes outstanding black high school students across America, named Khalilah Lushiku and Cheyenne Vlyman-Williams semi-finalists and selected Ty Matsushita as an outstanding participant. 

Matthew Africano, Selina Thompson and Ana Velasquez have been designated National Hispanic Recognition Scholars. John Medelius received an honorable mention from the same organization.
