WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The White Plains High School Parent Teachers Association (PTA) will host its 19th annual craft fair to help provide seniors with college scholarships this Saturday.
More than 70 vendors will set up in the high school's gym from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Customers will be able to support the Senior Recognition Fund, which supplies seniors with scholarships, by buying children's books, toys, handmade jewelry, crocheted gear, leather goods, Christmas ornaments, and refreshments.
Donna Louis, co-president of the high school PTA , said stopping by even to buy an inexpensive holiday gift or snack could make a big difference for students struggling to by college textbooks.
"This is much more than an opportunity to get some unique holiday gifts," Louis said in a press release. "Its an opportunity to support our young people and show them that their community is behind them.
All proceeds from the craft fair will go towards the Senior Recognition Fund.
