He was joined on the panel by Christopher Barto, vice president for finance and chief compliance officer at LIM College; Jeff Tredo, director of New York state campuses for Bryant & Stratton College; and Brad Card, a Washington, D.C.-based consultant.
Rosenberg spoke specifically on the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement, a nationwide initiative of states that will make distance education courses more accessible to students across state lines and make it easier for states to regulate and institutions to participate in interstate distance education.
“I had testified before the Regents in January along with representatives of SUNY, CUNY, and CICU informing the Regents about the importance of New York state joining a SARA. Two months later the Regents approved this, and in May and June both the New York state Senate and Assembly drafted legislation authorizing SARA,” said Rosenberg.
