The honored students were Jessica Resciniti, Loredana Pizzuti, Michael Sala and Alyssa Spampinato. Pizzuti, Sala and Spampinato received certificates of achievement for their stellar accomplishments in Italian studies. Their teachers, Adriana Aloia, Rossana Caringi and Francesca Bellomusto, also were honored for their outstanding achievement as Italian educators.

Resciniti, a senior currently enrolled in Italian 5, was awarded a $400 scholarship from DeCicco and Sons. She was one of just seven students in Westchester County to receive the scholarship, which was awarded to top scholars of Italian studies. Resciniti was nominated by Caringi and was chosen based on her work and a video she created for the Italian Honor Society.
