Teens At 12 Local High Schools Recognized in National Science Competition

Twenty-seven teens from 12 high schools across New York’s Lower Hudson Valley learned Wednesday that they had been named semifinalists in one of the nation’s highest ranked science competitions, according to lohud.com.

Each semifinalist in the Intel Science Talent Search will receive $1,000 from the Intel Foundation. A matching gift will go to the student’s high school, according to lohud.com.

The students recognized in the competition attend Ossining, Byram Hills, Ardsley, Briarcliff, Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, John Jay, Hastings, Fox Lane, Mamaroneck, Somers and Yorktown high schools, according to lohud.com.
