WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Haqqiquah Ford is one of five White Plains High School students who wrote, filmed and starred in a public service announcement called "Ex The Text" that is now available to view online.
The PSA, funded by an Allstate Foundation grant to the White Plains Library, will also air on local televsion.
The library decided to use part of the grant to fund a video production class taught by Travis "Rithem" Williamson. The goal of the class was to have students write, produce, film, edit and star in the PSA. The class began April 28 and concluded June 2 with a "red carpet" premiere of the students' work.
Williamson, whose production company, Media Monsters, is based in White Plains, also created a behind-the-scenes video of his class, which can also be see on his YouTube page.
