Ianello held a prospect camp at the school's football field, in an effort to recruit area players for one of the state's up and coming college football programs.

Member of the class of 1983 and the Stepinac Gridiron Club, the Port Chester native is looking to scout local talent to help build the University of Buffalo's football program. In past years, he has signed several Westchester players to collegiate rosters, including Irvington's Eric Ogbogu who went on to a seven year NFL career.

Prior to his tenure with the University of Buffalo, Ianello served as a wide receivers coach for the University of Wisconsin, University of Arizona, and University of Kansas, assistant head coach under Charlie Weiss at the University of Notre Dame, and head coach at the University of Akron.
