“We will make an announcement at the right time with what the next steps are,” Eller said, after the board meeting on Monday night. “There’s a couple of moving parts we’re trying to settle down.”

The Board of Education of the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns officially hired Clouet on Feb. 14 with a unanimous vote, but he does not start until July 1. He will replace Tarrytowns Schools Superintendent Howard Smith, who is retiring in June after 11 years in the district.

“We’re not going to rush the search, but we definitely have a definite plan and we will make the announcement at the appropriate time,” Eller said.
