WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The Good Counsel Academy Elementary School in White Plains announced plans to hold site visits and informational meetings for the school's impending move in September from its current location to a new site two miles north in Valhalla.
Between now and the end of the school year in June, plans are to hold four open site visits at the former home of Holy Name of Jesus Elementary School in Valhalla, along with an informational meeting at the present school building at 52 N. Broadway in White Plains.
“We’ve been getting a strong response to our registration and open-site visits, and as a result we have added dates for parents interested in having their children join us at our new home to see it first-hand,” said Good Counsel Principal Pamela Matott.
The site visits are set for Tuesday, April 7, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday, June 2, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
“It’s a beautiful building and we will continue to offer the same high-quality educational experience there that we have provided for 100 years. Parents can also contact us to arrange to see our current school in action. We also have a full information package that they can pick up in person or have mailed home.” Matott added.
There will also be an informational meeting on Thursday, April 23, at 6 p.m., in the current Good Counsel building.
Those interested in a personal tour or an informational package can contact the school office by phone at 914-761-4423 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
