Mentoring programs in White Plains, New City, and Mount Kisco are among 37 nonprofits in four states that will share $1 million in grants from the First Niagara Foundation.

First Niagara recently announced grants totaling $1 million to support not-for-profit youth mentoring programs and organizations across New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts through the regional bank’s Mentoring Matters program.

New York grantees include:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County – New City
  • Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester – Mount Kisco
  • Family Services of Westchester/Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester – White Plains

Across the bank’s four-state footprint, 37 not-for-profit organizations will share the grant award, directly benefiting more than 40,000 children who participate in these programs.

The First Niagara Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable entity founded in 1998.
