WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Pace Law School students will make their final arguments in the 11th annual Grand Moot Court Competition to four federal judges April 3.
Students at Pace Law, based in White Plains, will get a chance to sharpen their skills in this competition by arguing an issue within the jurisdiction of the federal courts. The top three students advance to the National Moot Court Competition, while the fourth-place student will compete in the 28th annual Dean Jerome Princess Memorial Evidence Competition.
The federal judges include Hon. Cathy Seibel, of the Southern District of New York, whose courtroom is in White Plains. The others include:
- Hon. Denny Chin, U.S. Circuit Court Judge for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals
- Hon. Loretta A. Preska, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York
- Hon. Edgardo Ramos, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York
The competition begins at 5 p.m. April 3 at Pace Law School, Gerber Glass Law Library Moot Court Room. The event is open to the public.
