It is Elmsford's second year collaborating with Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Mayor Robert Williams applauded the initiative and the collaboration between public and private schools.

Students and teachers at the Alice E. Grady Elementary School are participating in the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, a research-based initiative that specifically addresses bullying among students in grades two through six.

Mayor Robert Williams applauded the initiative, saying it was proof of the “unique” relationship the village has maintained with the village’s public and private schools.

In addition, the mayor announced Elmsford's participation in America’s PreparAthon! PreparAthon is nationwide community-based campaign to increase awareness of hazards such as floods, hurricanes, and winter storms.
