Berkeley College In White Plains Names Director Of Global Studies Center

DARIEN, Conn. – Darien resident Dorothy Minkus-McKenna has been appointed director of the Center for Global Studies at Berkeley College, which has a campus in White Plains, N.Y.

Minkus-McKenna has been a Berkeley College professor for more than 10 years and will continue to teach in the marketing department at the Larry L. Luing School of Business. She has also taught in Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, France and Lithuania. She spent the spring 2013 quarter as a visiting professor at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Seig in Germany, where she taught introduction to marketing, consumer behavior and international marketing courses.

“Under the direction of Dr. Minkus-McKenna, the Center for Global Studies will serve as the organizing entity for expanding global studies into the curriculum, bringing outside speakers to the college, and supporting special projects related to global studies,” said Judith Kornberg, Berkeley College's associate provost. Minkus-McKenna has a bachelor's degree in education from Framingham State University, a master’s degree in business administration management from New York University Stern School of Business and a doctorate in professional studies in international business from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. 

Berkeley College also has locations in midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, Paramus, Clifton, Dover, Newark, Woodbridge, Woodlawn Park and online.
