WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Chinese college students began their 90-day business and management cultural American immersion program at Berkeley College in White Plains on July 23.
The program includes special classes in English business communications, tours of American historical and cultural sites, and visits to several business and government institutions in White Plains.
The student delegation from Guizhou province in China enrolled in the Berkeley College summer American immersion program in White Plains, received lapel pins and embroidered police patches from White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach and Public Safety Commissioner David Chong during their visit to City Hall.
In his remarks to the students, Roach explained city government and the role of White Plains in American and New York state history. He also invited the guests to the city’s free evening concert and car show, which they attended.
