Archbishop Stepinac HS Announces Raffle Prizes For Its Trustees Awards

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Archbishop Stepinac High School has announced its raffle prizes for its Trustee Awards Reception, which features several honorees on Thursday, April 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza White Plains.

Bill Plunkett will be honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award and Caryl Plunkett, his wife, will be honored for her accomplishments as a successful business woman, administrator, public servant and an active charitable volunteer.

Raffle prizes include a weekend in Somoma for two, tickets to see Notre Dame play Boston College at Fenway Park, VIP tickets to Stepinac's presentation of Billy Elliot, golf packages, New York Yankees tickets, Broadway show tickets, New York Giants tickets, dinner for four at White Plains' best restaurants and an iPad an a case. 

The following honorees will be celebrated at the ceremony: 

  • Stepinac alumnus William F. Plunkett, Jr., is being honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award. along with his wife, Caryl, who

    is being honored for her accomplishments as

    a successful business woman, administrator, public servant and an active charitable volunteer. 

  • Cisco Systems, Inc. a leading, multinational corporation that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment, will receive the Partner in Education Award. Patrick Finn, an alumnus of Stepinac High School and Cisco’s senior vice president, will accept the award on behalf of the company.
  • Dr. Jesus Jaile-Marti, chief of neontology, White Plains Hospital Center and his wife, Diane, will receive the Community Citizens Award.
  • Frank Portanova (Class of ’93), Stepinac’s vice principal for academics and curriculum, who will receive the Student Enrichment Award.

Approximately 400 guests are expected to attend the event with the proceeds to provide financial aid and scholarships for Stepinac students.

The cost is $250 per person with multiple sponsorships available. Reservations can be made until Monday, April 6.

The Trustees Awards Reception recognizes distinguished alumni, faculty and supporters as well as raises funds for enhancing Stepinac’s educational and athletic programs. 

An extensive array of valuable prizes will be raffled and there will also be sponsorship opportunities in a special journal that will be distributed to guests.
