Together the new buildings will bring over 100 new rental units to the city.

Built around a new concept in “vibrant community living,'' the buildings' developers say they cater to active lifestyle residents and families with young children. The newly constructed buildings all feature modern designed apartments, spacious layouts and smart technology. Customized amenities for each project include doormen, fitness centers, media rooms, children’s playrooms, playgrounds, barbecue areas, covered parking and more.

The buildings include: La Gianna at 10 DeKalb Ave.. which began occupancy on Oct. 1, has been briskly pre-leasing units since August. The other two buildings – The Dylan at 42 Waller Ave.and The Reed at 115 N. Broadway – will start leasing in December. There will be 23 units at The Reed, 24 at The Dylan and 56 at La Gianna.

The city's newest rentals are being co-developed by Lighthouse Enterprises, a White Plains development company, and The Daten Group, a New York City-based luxury condo development company.

According to The Daten Group’s Craig Rosenman, White Plains has had no new rental construction in over six years. "With rental inventory in White Plains very low, these buildings come at the perfect time to offer the unique option for boutique luxury with walkability to all,” Rosenman said

“In a market that features many older and unrenovated apartments, we are bringing fresh modern designs with amenities geared for today’s lifestyles.” said Lighthouse’s David Mann. “Our concept focuses around neighborhoods with easy commutes to New York City that have great restaurants, bars, parks and access to public transportation.”

All apartments feature modern, upscale, open layouts with hardwood floors, master bathrooms with double sink vanities, full-size vented washers and dryers in the apartments, custom Italian kitchens with modern stainless steel appliances, ceasarstone countertops, large bedrooms and closet space.

Rental fees start at $2,050 for studios, $2,300 for one-bedrooms and $2,775 for two bedrooms.

"These buildings fill an extremely thirsty niche in downtown White Plains,” added Michelle Coletti, the buildings' exclusive rental agent at Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty. “They are highly anticipated for good reason, and the initial response and feedback we have received has been phenomenal.”
