Tee Off, Westchester, And Make A Child's Dream Come True

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Grab your golf clubs and get ready to tee off for Make-A-Wish, Westchester. The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors is sponsoring a golf outing and dinner to benefit the Hudson Valley chapter of the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Sept. 13, the Falkirk Estate and Country Club in Central Valley, N.Y., will be transformed into a dream machine of sorts, with guests participating to raise money that will allow the foundation to grant wishes to Hudson Valley children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The day begins with registration for the golf outing at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The six o’clock cocktail hour is followed by an evening of dinner and dancing.

“This organization has been making a huge difference in the lives of these children for more than 25 years,” said Ann Garti, chief operating officer of the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service and former CEO of the Orange County Association of Realtors. “We are so pleased to be able to offer our help.”

Prior to the Hudson Gateway association’s involvement with the foundation, the Orange County Association of Realtors had been working to raise funds for Make-A-Wish for 15 years.

At present, Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley is working on making 160 dreams come true for area children. According to the organization, granting a wish can cost from $7,500 to $10,000.

If you want to help a Hudson Valley child make a wish, you can purchase your tickets on the Hudson Gateway association website. Tickets for both golf and dinner are $150 per person. Dinner-only tickets cost $45 per person.
