US Marshals Arrest Trenton Fugitive In Fatal Shooting: Prosecutor

A 38-year-old fugitive from Trenton has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting, authorities said.

Chelsey White was charged with first-degree murder and weapons offenses, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.

White was arrested on Sunday, March 9 in Branchburg by members of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, Onofri said.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Feb. 28, Trenton police responded to a shooting at 428 Ardmore Ave. Police found an unresponsive man on the porch suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, Onofri said. The victim, later identified as Shawn Moore, 45, of Trenton, was pronounced dead at the scene, the prosecutor said.

The investigation is ongoing.
