Tractor Trailer Erupts In Flames On Route 78

Firefighters extinguished a truck fire on Route 78 on the evening of Tuesday, March 5, that made the sky look orange, authorities said.

At 10:39 p.m. the Whitehouse Fire Company and Oldwick Fire Company responded to Route 78 eastbound by exit 78 for a tractor trailer fire, the Whitehouse Fire Company said on Facebook.

Firefighters used multiple lines to attack the blaze and were able to declare the fire under control before midnight, firefighters said.
