Men preying on children: It never stops

Do you know why it seems more men are preying on children? Because they are. The cases have come fast and furious this summer, in what ordinarily is considered a slow period for violent crime. This only reinforces the need for parents to talk frankly with their children and to make extra certain that they are not put in harm’s way.

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli, who has made the arrests of predators a priority, announced several collars this week, including one of a man accused of fondling two 8-year-olds in Teaneck. His Computer Crime and Sex Abuse units have been burning the midnight oil in their determination to track down predators.

This time, investigators arrested a married, unemployed 40-year-old accused of fondling two eight year olds — “touching their genials in inappropriate places,” as Molinelli said.

Dennis J. Culbert Jr., of Hackensack, is being held on $200,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
