State Police Charge Two With DWI in Cortlandt

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – New York State Police made two DWI arrests in the Town of Cortlandt during the second week in February, and both were charged with misdemeanor DWI.

On Feb. 9, just after 11 p.m., New York State Police charged Leon Leon-Solval, 48, of Port Chester with misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more while driving on Route 9 southbound in the village of Croton-on-Hudson.

On Feb. 12, at about 9:30 p.m., New York State Police charged Juan J. Ojeda, 48, of Newark, N.J.  with misdemeanor DWI and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more, while driving on Memorial Drive in the Town of Cortlandt.

Left the Scene of an Accident Just before 9 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, New York State Police reported that a car in the Cortlandt Town Center struck a parked vehicle and left the scene of the accident. The matter is under investigation.

Driving While Impaired by Drugs Alex S. Brezovsky, 20, of Peekskill was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and an infraction for refusing to take a breathalyzer. The arrest took place just after 8 p.m., near 2071 E. Main St. in Cortlandt.
