Quake Hasn't Fazed Stamford Facebookers

STAMFORD, Conn. -- When an earthquake in Virginia rattled some in Fairfield County on Tuesday, readers hopped on the The Daily Stamford's Facebook page to talk about the trembling — at least, those who felt the eath shaking did.

"Work at Pitney Bowes in the south end and the building felt as if it were swaying. Many, many people report that they felt like they had vertigo," Dave Williams wrote.

"YES! And I'm on the 16th floor in NYC. I thought it was my imagination that my chair was wiggling a bit," Bennie Jablonski wrote.

"YES! Here in times square where I work, I felt it," Jennifer Bernardelli wrote.

"Slight floor tremor in norwalk ct - near stew's'," Crystal Maruszak wrote, referring, presumably, to Stew Leonard's grocery store.

"Yes... our building shook... e. putnam in greenwich," Carin Carlson wrote.

Not everyone was jolted, though. "I felt nothing in Ridgeway area of stamford, if there was one I didn't know," Christine Shaw wrote.

"I didn't feel a thing...in Stamford," Tj Brandon wrote.
