A Westchester home contractor whose great-grandfather founded the family business in 1910 will be featured, along with a Rockland County home, on four upcoming episodes of HGTV's "Property Brothers Buying and Selling."

Bronxville's Artie Lange of Arthur Lange Inc. filmed for about 12 weeks last spring and summer. The first project involving a home in Scarsdale airs on April 19.

Three subsequent shows featuring Lange's work on homes in Yorktown, Suffern and Eastchester air in May.

The HGTV series feature Canadian twin brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott. Jonathan is the TV contractor assisting a major $75,000 to $100,000 renovation of each home and Drew is the real estate agent handling its sale as well as each homeowner's relocation into a new home.

Lange said viewers will know if the project was a success if the episode concludes with the Scott twins popping a bottle of champagne on the front lawn to celebrate the home sale.

Lange described planned as well as unplanned construction surprises. The Eastchester home "was a mess" electrically, he said, "totally out of code," costing an extra $5,000.

New kitchen cabinet doors for the Rockland County home in Suffern arrived the wrong size, so Lange's crew had to come up with the right blue paint to restore the original doors to be refinished and installed at the last minute. A large steel beam was added to a 1920s Tudor home in Scarsdale after load-bearing walls were removed.

Most of the projects involved new kitchens, while the Suffern home renovation included a new second-floor bathroom.

Filming was continuous, Lange said, but Jonathan Scott would arrive to appear in scenes involving final installations of cabinets and other finishing touches.

More than 8,000 homeowners reportedly applied to be picked as sets to shoot season six of "Property Brothers Buying and Selling."

Earlier season episodes involved home and businesses from Larchmont, Scarsdale and Connecticut.

Arthur Lange Inc. is one of Westchester’s most trusted construction management and renovation firms for private residences and businesses. Many of the area’s most beautiful and prestigious homes have been renovated, remodeled, enhanced or expanded under its care.

Arthur Lange Inc . also manages projects out of the area for clients who have homes in places like the Hamptons, Kiawah Island, South Carolina and Vermont, as well as New York City.
