Three Democratic members of the White Plains Common seeking re-election -- Dennis Krolian, Nadine Hunt-Robinson and Milagros Lecuona -- will participate, along with Republican challenger AnneMarie Encarnacao.

Benjamin Boykin, a Democratic county legislator who is running unopposed in the Nov. 3 election, also will speak.

The community forum is co-sponsored by the White Plains League of Women Voters, NAACP White Plains/Greenburgh, the White Plains Public Library and the White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations,

This year, in addition to incumbents seeking re-election, other members of the White Plains Common Council have been invited to attend.. Questions from the floor will be collected at the door and will be presented to the candidates for discussion.

As in years past, the forum moderator will present a series of questions to the candidates and solicit their views on various topics. Suggested topics include growth of the community, sanitation, disabled and elderly services, parking around White Plains Hospital and the French American School of New York -- whose plan to build a new school at Ridgeway Country Club was narrowly defeated by a divided Common Council on Aug. 5. FASNY has filed a lawsuit to annul the 4-3 vote.
