Voters will be able to vote on the school budget and elect three school board members on Tuesday, May 19.

This year the forum will be co-sponsored by the White Plains PTA Council, the White Plains-Greenburgh NAACP and the White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations.

The candidates are Michael Bellantoni, James Hricay, Cayne Letizia and Rose Lovitch.

The superintendent of schools will make a brief presentation about the proposed budget.

The continuing property tax cap and other funding issues, teacher evaluation, charter schools, legislation proposing an Education Investment Incentives Tax Credit, implementation of the Common Core Standards, student testing and procedures for data collection are some of the issues that will be addressed.

A new schools superintendent will be joining the White Plains School system in July.
