Assembly, Senate Candidates To Debate In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Candidates seeking seats in state Senate Districts 35 and 37 and in state Assembly Districts 88 and 93 will square off in a candidates forum at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the White Plains Public Library. The forum is sponsored by the White Plains League of Women Voters.

Assembly member George Latimer (D-Rye) and businessman Bob Cohen (R-New Rochelle), who are running in the 37th Senate District, will come together for their third debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

Assembly member Robert Castelli (R-Goldens Bridge) will face challenger David Buchwald (D-White Plains) for the chance to represent the newly redrawn 93rd Assembly District, which includes part of White Plains.

Two unconstested incumbents, state Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Yonkers) in the 35th Senate District and Assembly member Amy Paulin (D-Scarsdale) in the 88th Assembly District, also will speak at the event.
