Parking Fees Go Up To $1 Per Hour At White Plains Garages

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Parking fees in city garages will increase to $1 per hour beginning June 1.

The White Plains Common Council passed an ordinance at its meeting this week to raise parking meter fees in garages and surface lots by 25 cents per hour. On-street parking meters are already $1 per hour.

“The rate increase is consistent with what is already charged in other municipally-operated retail and transportation parking garages,” said Karen Pasquale, of the Mayor’s office.

Drivers pay $1 per hour to park in New Roc City in New Rochelle and $3.25 to park for up to six hours at Ridge Hill Mall in Yonkers, Pasquale said.

The city last raised off-street parking rates in 2007.
