WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Fox News CEO Roger Ailes called upon presidential candidate and Bedford estate-owner Donald Trump to apologize for a new series of Tweets geared toward Kelly File host Megyn Kelly, according to Politico.
Ailes issued a statement that supported Kelly, saying Trump's Tweets were both "unacceptable" and "disturbing," Politico said.
Trump's latest Tweets aimed at Kelly, posted Monday night, included statements that she was "off her game."
"I liked The Kelly File much better without @megynkelly," Trump also tweeted Monday night. "Perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation!"
He also retweeted a tweet that referred to Kelly as a "bimbo."
