WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A fight broke out at P.F. Changs between co-workers meeting for lunch in White Plains, police said.
Elizabeth Godette, of Tarrytown, met two of her co-workers at the Westchester Avenue restaurant Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. Her co-workers were waiting to be seated when she arrived around 3:30 p.m., police said.
Godette was upset one of the women was there, and, after a short exchange of words, punched her in the face, then grabbed her hair and pushed her down to the ground, police said. The victim hit her shoulder on the door knob of P.F. Changs. She suffered pain and swelling to the left side of her face, a cut to her inner bottom lip and bruising to her shoulder and middle back from falling into the door knob, police said.
The victim told police the fight was a result of a disagreement between the two at work.
The suspect had left when police arrived, but faces a charge of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
