White Plains Worker Accused of Stealing Suits

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Nordstrom employee was arrested and accused of returning two men’s suits he didn’t buy in order to get a refund of $1,836.93, according to a police report.

Stanley Robert Delince, a 38-year-old Mamaroneck resident, was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. The department store’s loss prevention manager told police the defendant made two suspicious returns in September.

The manager, who had investigated the incidents, told police Delince returned one men’s suit worth $969.96 on Sept. 23 and another worth $866.97 on Sept. 25. He was accused of taking both suits from the store’s stock area, the report says.

The suspect was released on $500 bail.
