Angela Lillard, 47, was arrested Saturday on a charge of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, police said.

Between September 2011 and April 2012, Lillard collected more $12,000 in unemployment payments, court records show. She was accused of falsifying documents to support her assertion that she was entirely unemployed, when in fact she was working at a job, according to police.

Lillard was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear in City of White Plains Court on July 1.
