White Plains Police Step Up Holiday Patrols

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The White Plains Police Department has announced it will have increased patrols on the streets and in parking garages during the holiday season, according to News 12 Westchester

Police are also putting notices on vehicles that may look enticing to thieves. The notice looks like a citation, but provides tips to car owners to help keep their vehicle and the items inside of it safe, News 12 Westchester reported. 

White Plains Police are also advising residents to keep belongings locked in the trunk of their car and to keep cell phones and GPS devices out of plain view, according to News 12 Westchester.
