White Plains Police: Pair Caught Smoking Cocaine

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A White Plains man was arrested Wednesday while smoking crack cocaine with another man, White Plains police said.

Christopher Kirkland, 46, and Steven Polsky, 47, of Suffern, N.Y., were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and first-degree loitering, a misdemeanor.

Police said they saw the two men sitting on a pathway step at 10 Chester Ave., and Polsky was smoking a substance police believe to be crack cocaine from a glass pipe.

Police approached them and found Kirkland to be carrying a $10 bag of crack cocaine, which he also admitted to smoking, according to the report. Police said they also found a glass pipe in Kirkland’s left cargo pants pocket.

Both are due Sept. 6 in White Plains City Court.
