WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A White Plains man pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter on Tuesday, according to Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore.
On Feb. 4, 2014, Eric Hines, 33, struck his victim in the head with a glass vodka bottle and proceeded to punch and kick the victim in the head while he lay on the ground, the district attorney said.
The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center and admitted for traumatic brain injury where he remained in a medically induced coma for nearly six weeks. He was later transported to Montefiore Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, the district attorney said.
Hines faces a maximum of 25 years in state prison. He will be sentenced on April 28.
