WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A White Plains man pled guilty Monday to raping a 26-year-old woman at knife point, Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced.

Alberto Gomez Ojeda, 29, pled guilty to one of two counts of first-degree predatory sexual assault, a felony. He was also arraigned in early May on one count of a first-degree criminal sexual act and one count of first-degree rape, both felonies, and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.

On March 30, Ojeda, of 125 Lake St., approached the woman as she walked home alone in the area of Lake Street after midnight. DiFiore said in the release that Ojeda put a knife to the woman's neck and face and dragged her down a dark driveway. He then sexually assaulted and forcibly raped the woman at knife point.

Ojeda ran, but White Plains police arrested him the next day. He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. His remand status was continued.

Assistant District Attorney Wendy Parra of the Sex Crimes Bureau is prosecuting the case.
