White Plains Man Charged With Crack/Cocaine Possession

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - A White Plains man was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, which police believe to be crack/cocaine, according to a police report.

Michael Kelley, 58, was walking through the 225 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard housing complex Monday when police patrolling the area noticed him looking around suspiciously, the report said. Police recognized Kelley from a previous drug- abuse incident and asked what he was doing there. The report said that Kelley replied, "I don't live here, I'm just passing through."

Police then asked if he had anything on him and he said, "Yea, I have stem on me."

A search revealed a clear modified glass pipe containing residue from what police believe to be crack/cocaine in his front left pants pocket.

Kelley was arrested and held for a court appearance on June 5.
