WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. A White Plains man has been charged with cocaine possession, according to a police report.
Joel Ramirez-Pedroso, 40, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Police saw a man take a small zip-lock bag and empty its contents onto a dollar bill, then scoop up a small amount to his nose and inhale deeply, the report says. Police, who were doing surveillance in the area of East Post Road on Thursday night, believed the suspect was using cocaine and stopped him. They found the bag with a white powdery substance they believed to be cocaine, then arrested him, the report says.
Ramirez-Pedroso was released on $300 bail and given a Nov. 1 city court date.
