WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. A White Plains man waiting for a prescription at CVS was arrested by White Plains police, and accused of stealing a home drug test earlier in the day, according to the arrest report.
Scott ORourke, 21, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Police responded to CVS on Mamaroneck Avenue around 4:45 p.m., Monday, on a report of two men walking out of CVS with a home drug test. The store manager told police both men were looking at the tests in aisle four, and that he saw the suspect holding one when he passed him, the report said.
The suspect left the store without paying for the test, worth $19.99, and walked down Mamaroneck Avenue towards Carhart Avenue, the report said. Police searched the area but didnt find him. Police returned to CVS around 7:51 p.m. and saw ORourke waiting at the pharmacy for a prescription.
He was arrested and later released on $500 bail.
