White Plains Man Charged In Shooting At Rucker Park

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A White Plains man was arrested by New York City police and charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting at Rucker Park in Harlem July 25 that resulted in five injuries, police said.

Ricardo Laing, 24, was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Manhattan Criminal Court on five counts, including second-degree attempted murder.

He attended the annual Entertainers Basketball Classic at the famous basketball court. Police said he was accused of shooting four adults in their 20s and one 16-year-old boy about 11 p.m. All are now in stable condition, police said
