White Plains, Cops Say Chamberlain Was At Fault In Shooting Death

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Lawyers for the City of White Plains and White Plains police are saying that Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr., was at fault in his death after he was shot and killed by police, according to LoHud.com.

Chamberlain's family has reportedly brought a $21 million lawsuit against the city for the 2011 death of the 68-year-old man. Police shot and killed Chamberlain after a one-hour standoff when his medical alarm went off.

Chamberlain allegedly tried to attack officers with a knife when they tried to check his welfare, according to the article.
