WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The White Plains officer involved in a car crash Wednesday afternoon has been released from the hospital with a few bumps and bruises, police said.
The officer was responding to a call when the accident happened in the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Cottage Place when another car crashed into him.
“The driver didn’t see him,” Detective Lt. Eric Fischer said.
The other driver was not injured and no charges have resulted from the accident. Air bags were deployed in the officer’s squad car, with significant damage to the driver-side of the car. The other car’s bumper had partially fallen off.
