White Plains Cashier Charged With Stealing From Work

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A cashier at Nordstrom Rack in the White Plains City Center is accused of stealing $1,902.25 in clothing from the store, according to a police report.

Nafessa Roberts, 25, is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

A loss prevention agent told police Friday the Mount Vernon woman rang up clothing worth $748 on Dec. 26, 2012, and $1,154.25 on Jan. 6, then voided both transactions, the reports says. She then had her ex-boyfriend take the merchandise out of the store.

Roberts was arrested at work Friday morning. She was held for court.
