Anthony Harrison-Sanders, 23, of Queens and Carlos Williams, 31, of the Bronx were arrested and arraigned in White Plains court Thursday afternoon. They were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies.

A Jeep Cherokee driving north on the Hutch near White Plains around 2:20 p.m. had an equipment violation, police said, prompting an officer to follow it to the Mobil Gas station on the parkway, police said. The officer noticed alterations to the car’s floorboards, which he believed was being used as a hidden compartment often used to hide contraband, police said.

Police brought in a narcotics detection canine, Suki, who indicated there were narcotics beneath the floorboards, police said. Police located and opened the compartment and found a plastic bag with 1,465 of Oxycodone, a painkiller sold on the street for $30 each, police said.

Both suspects were held without bail at the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.
