About 1 p.m., the private plow driver suffered elbow pain and other minor injuries after crashing into another vehicle near North Ridge Street and Ridge Boulevard, according to Rye Brook Police Chief Gregory Austin.

The plow's driver refused medical attention and was transported home by the police, Austin said.

Because of the snow and ice-covered roads, the private plow slid across the double yellow line and struck another vehicle which was traveling in the opposite direction, Austin said.

The unidentified plow operator was issued two tickets for driving an unregistered motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle, Austin said.
