Two Cortlandt Establishments Charged In Underage Drinking Detail

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Two Cortlandt-based established were charged with selling alcohol to a minor as part of a enforcement detail conducted by the State Police in Cortlandt within the towns of Cortlandt, Yorktown and Buchanan, state police said. 

A total of 15 businesses were approached by an 18-year-old underage operative attempting to purchase alcohol without being asked to show any identification. 

The two businesses listed below are the only ones that sold to the 18-year-old:

Oregon Shell, 1208 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Montrose Deli,  4 Kings Ferry Road, Cortlandt

The employees that sold the alcohol were issued Appearance Tickets for violating section 65-1 (Prohibited Sale of Alcohol) of the NYS Alcohol Beverage Control Law, as well as the appropriate Corporations, state police said.

Yorktown's Police Department assisted with the Enforcement Detail within the Town of Yorktown.
