Ismael Castejun-Guizar, 24, of Atlanta and Ricardo Coacio Reyes, 30, of Norcross, were being held on $2 million bail each in the Bergen County Jail.

Both are charged with kidnapping, carjacking, aggravated assault, criminal restraint and weapons counts.

Sources told Daily Voice that the 39-year-old victim -- who was taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center after the Thursday morning GWB stop -- is the son of a former West New York police officer.

Port Authority emergency service workers were conducting a drill climbing the bridge cables when the call came in around 10 a.m. Thursday, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.

New Jersey State Police had issued an alert on the SPEN network of a 2014 Toyota Camry occupied by three men who were possibly armed and wanted in a reported kidnapping who were possibly headed for the bridge, he said.

Officer Brian Ahern and James O'Neil "took up positions near the toll plaza and soon saw the described car," Pentangelo said. "They positioned themselves behind the Toyota, confirmed that it was the car in question and pulled the vehicle over."

The front-seat passenger "told the officer that he was the victim of a kidnapping and was being driven from Georgia to New York against his will," he said.

In the back seat, officers found a loaded 9mm Glock pistol, authorities said.
