WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Police are looking for three men who stole about $360 at gunpoint Thursday morning from the Mobil gas station on the corner of Westchester and South  Kensico avenues, said Det. Lt. Eric Fischer of the White Plains Police Department.

The suspects are black men, each wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. One of them wore an orange and yellow reflector vest that said "Contractor" on it.

The suspects spent about 10 minutes in the store beginning about 4:46 a.m. One of the three went into the bathroom. When he came out, he approached the attendant and displayed a black hand gun, Fischer said. Fabian Vale, area supervisor for Mobil, said the unknown suspect pointed the gun at the female attendant's head and demanded she open the safe. Vale said she did not know the code and pleaded with the men, who then emptied the cash register and stole about $360.

“The good thing is our employee, she is safe,” Vale said.

Before the suspects entered the Mobil Mart, Vale said, a white van filled up with gas, then left and went across the street to the BP station. After reviewing the video surveillance tapes, Vale said that’s where he believes the trio came from and left. Fischer said the Mobil station doesn't have cameras outside, and it could not be determined if the men left in a vehicle or in which direction they went.

Vale also noted one of the “kids,” as he described them, touched a cooler door looking for a drink. The store is doing inventory to see if the three suspects stole any items in the store. Fischer said some scratch-off Lotto tickets had been taken.
