WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The seven Rolex watches stolen in the smash-and-grab robbery Sunday, Aug. 17, at The Westchester mall total $315,000, White Plains police said Tuesday.

All three suspects are described as black males between the ages of 25 and 30.

White Plains Police provided descriptions of each suspect:

The first has a thin build and shaggy beard and was wearing dark pants and shirt and a baseball hat.

The second subject is 5-foot-11 , 240 pounds with scraggly facial hair. He was wearing khaki pants, a dark shirt and a Yankees baseball hat.

The third subject is about 5-foot 7, about 140 pounds and was wearing a white sweatshirt. Police believe he is the one that had a struggle with security guard.

The struggle sent the security guard, who had drawn his gun, through a glass window from inside the store out into the mall, and all three men escaped. No one else was injured, Fischer said.

If you have any information on the suspects call the White Plains Detectives Division at 914-422-6200. All information will be kept confidential.

Police and a SWAT team responded to the Westchester Mall Sunday morning on a report of an active shooter situation. They quickly realized none of the suspects had guns and police continued the investigation.

The three men entered Tourneau on Level 2 of the mall around 11:30 a.m. and used hammers to smash the glass cases and take seven expensive watches, totaling $315,000.

I guess they thought the hats would hide them from cameras but masks would have given their intent away. There were others in the store and that is scary. I am sure the insurance will help but what a frightening experience. Stores get robbed every where but hammers are effective weapons. I hope the security guard is okay. It is a shame how people think stealing is okay even if it is condiments or shopping carts. The rest of us have to pay for this in higher prices and insurance premiums.

If they are caught it will be interesting to see if they cry discrimination, or if they were or are shot how many protestors will be in front of the mall ready to demonstrate . Dirt bags like this black, white or yellow caught dead to rights should have the book thrown at them!!
