Police stopped Tracey Brabham, 43, and Geoffrey Ruff, 51, a little after midnight Sunday on Walworth Avenue. K-9 Justice indicated the presence of a narcotic in the middle of the bench seat in the 1993 Ford pickup F150. Police said they found seven grams of crack cocaine tucked in the middle of the bench seat.
Both suspects were arrested and charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies. Both were held for arraignment.
K-9 Justice and K-9 Storm are the first-ever members of the White Plains Police Department's K-9 unit, which was funded by private donations and launched in June 2012.
Justice was trained to detect drugs, and Storm was trained to detect explosives and weapons.
