Police: Three Teens Raid Cars In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Three White Plains teens were arrested and charged with breaking into multiple cars and stealing several items, according to a police report.

Michael Innes, Jose Lopez and Khasi Coachman, all 18, were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.

A Pleasant Avenue homeowner told police he saw three males look into a car in his neighbor’s driveway at 10:17 p.m. Oct. 15. One of the suspects opened the driver’s-side door and grabbed an item, while the other two stood as lookout, the report says. All three suspects then left the area, walking toward Bolton Avenue.

Police stopped three men fitting the description on the corner of Overlook Road and Bryant Avenue. They had someone else’s personalized checkbook, two DKNY sports coats, a Garmin Nuvi GPS and a phone charger, the report says. Lopez admitted to taking the GPS from the car parked on Pleasant Avenue, as well as a blank briefcase from a black jeep. He then told police Innes took the checkbook from the same jeep, in addition to two black sports jackets from a pickup truck, which he and Coachman were wearing at the time, the report says.

Lopez told police Innes hid the briefcase he stole under a sewer drain in Ralph Field, the report says. Police recovered the briefcase and all other stolen property. Police also found Innes had $47.84 in loose change and Coachman had a Bluetooth headset, the report says.

All three suspects were arrested and held for arraignment.
